Macdonald and Company is working with a highly regarded Landlord to source a Mobilisation Manager. This role will be responsible for leading across multiple projects from construction through to post management within their growing PRS portfolio.


  • Responsibility to on-board allocated projects in line with the documented on-boarding new build projects.
  • Project management responsibility for delivery of each scheme in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Project lead to coordinate all on-boarding activities between the Development Manager, Fund/Asset Manager and the functional teams involved with onboarding
  • Coordinate all design and service input to Development Manager for each allocated scheme
  • Prepare all Opex budget and input for potential acquisitions
  • Input into the design and creation of the Grainger product offering for each scheme
  • Assisting with the project management and asset management of new B2R assets from investment stage to stabilisation.
  • To ensure projects are progressed in a timely manner, meeting financial targets and customer service KPIs throughout and to ensure assets are operationally set up with the ability to drive asset value longer term
  • Provide regular reporting on progress and performance of each scheme
  • Work with the Head of Onboarding & Operations to set the standards for onboarding and creating a market leading product and service offering to optimise performance from each scheme

Key responsibilites:

  • Formulating operational business plans. Including
    • Expenditure and income budgets
    • Identifying value add opportunities to maximise asset value, optimise net income and improve customer experience
    • Working with the lettings and marketing team on the initial lease up plan
    • Working with the operational management teams on the management and service level strategy
    • Reviewing and providing modelling assumptions to the finance and investment teams
    • Incorporating any lessons learnt from completed projects
  • Project Management - delivery of the business plan
    • Identify key deliverables, milestones and deadlines to the project team
    • Managing and working closely with the various workstreams including fund management, development, lettings, marketing, operational management, and the finance teams to ensure set up and delivery of a stabilised asset to business plan and target KPIs
    • Monitor and report on project progress, performance and key stats regularly
    • Once stabilised, ensure smooth handover to the stabilised Asset Management and operational teams
    • Following handover, analysing the early business plan assumptions versus actual performance
    • Conducting lessons learnt sessions with the project teams and reviewing processes for improvement
  • General assistance with:
    • Prepare opex budgets for allocated projects to support acquisitions
    • Suggest ideas for continual improvement to refine the on-boarding process and the accompanying templates
      • Identify and encourage areas for process improvements with all the project teams
    • Undertake procurement activities for key suppliers and partners
    • Undertake competitor research and communicate key findings to the wider team
    • Keep abreast of renter requirements and communicate findings to the wider teams
    • Research and contribute to the continued improvement of the PRS standard specification with consideration to lifecycle costs
    • Analysing target v actual assumptions and recommending changes to the Standard Modelling Assumptions
    • Ensure customer and contractor feedback from all phases is fed back to the respective teams for continual improvement
    • Promote and encourage excellent customer service levels within the business to create efficient and successful communities
