You will be working within a huge Public sector organisation as a Contract Manager to work within the West Region covering Swindon, Bristol and Oxfordshire to lead a team of trades and admin support staff in a varied full time role.
Your new role
You will be working as a Contract Manager to manage a team of trades and admin support staff; to ensure that Planned Maintenance and other contracts are delivered on time and budget to our high quality standards. You will need to provide effective line management to Contract Supervisors, ensuring that the best use is made of resources. Produce the annual budget, setting out resource requirements, profit targets by contract and monitoring the actual performance against target.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have experience of managing directly employed staff and have strong interpersonal, communication and IT skills. You should be willing to travel as part of the role (which may include some flexibility with working hours), have your own vehicle and hold a full driving licence. To be successful, you will need to demonstrate experience in building or construction contract management, effective budgetary management skills and ideally hold an HNC in building related studies (or an equivalent qualification).
