Your new company
Your new company are one of the world's leading museum organisations and the largest cultural organisation in the North West. Their portfolio across the Merseyside area consist of eight museums in six venues, they circa a footfall of around 3 million visitors each year and the asset value of this portfolio is in excess of £210 million. They are currently looking for you to fill their position of Director of Estates.
Your new role
In your new role you will report to the Executive Director of Finance, you will make the Museum's estate safe and accessible for servicing the needs of their visitors and staff. You will develop a comprehensive Estates Strategy and associated work programmes to support corporate objectives and ensuring the estate is fit for purpose for the future within allocated resources. You will provide long term maintenance strategies, whilst providing decisive and effective leadership to the Estates Management team ensuring that the buildings and sites are in line with professional standard and meet the relevant Health and Safety statutory compliances. You will be be responsible for the effective management of all estates related contracts and ensure that best value for money is achieved in the use of external contractors.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in your new position you will have significant experience in development of estate management strategies, budget management and project management at a Senior level. You will have proven experience in developing partnerships and delivery of audience-focussed public facilities, whilst having the ability to deal with difficult decisions on funding and spend. You will also have experience in Business planning, management of staff and financial management.
What you'll get in return
