Your new company
Based in North Sussex with an additional office on the Sussex Coast, your new employer are a well-established and respected Commercial Surveying Team operating throughout the South East. The services they provide includes advice to a mix of occupiers, landlords, developers, investors and all those with an interest in commercial property across industrial, retail, land, leisure and public buildings . The current team are 16 strong and have an enviable niche within the commercial property field within the region with a wide ranging client base.


Your new role
As a result of an increase in workload and some recent opportunities within their existing Property Team, this new role has been created to help your potential employer manage the increased range of properties under management, and help them drive forward new plans. You will work alongside your Directors to steer decisions, acting as a pivotal part in the new direction of your team, having an immediate say and genuine handle on strategy and business development.

Day to day tasks will include responsibility for the management of various commercial buildings and larger estates, working for a wide variety of clients. You will regularly meet new potential clients, carry out property inspections, carry out service charge administration, negotiate leases, liaise with tenants, and where appropriate deal with lease renewals. Because this is a new position, the role offers enormous flexibility and is an outstanding and rarely available opportunity for you to manage and shape the direction of your new department, taking advantage of the impressive client base and reputation your employers holds .



What you'll need to succeed
You should have previous commercial surveying experience in a similar role or environment and have good financial aptitude. Knowledge of service charge budgets would be a considerable advantage, along with any experience using Property Management software. You should either be MRICS qualified, APC ready or have a wealth of experience within the Commercial Property sector, alongside exemplary customer service and communication skills. The highly sought after applicants will show intellect and demonstrate a can do attitude with drive, determination and a positive outlook at all times to both develop new business and service existing clients.
