This Northamptonshire based local authority are looking to appoint a enforcement planner to join the department on a 3+ month interim contract. The department covers a diverse array of planning applications, evolving in an interesting caseload for planning enforcement. The planning department in this local authority delivers and runs a successful service.
Your new role
Your main responsibilities will be to ensure you meet the objectives set by the council, following and adhering to the procedures they have in place. You will cover a diverse array of enforcement matters investigating complaints of breaches, implementing appropriate action in the event of breaches and undertaking planning enforcement action in the event of non-compliance matters. This is a great opportunity to be a part of a local authority that is continually looking towards the future.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have planning enforcement specific experience, ideally working within a local authority, alternatively within a private limited company. You will be commercially minded and have a proven track record of delivering an effective planning enforcement service.
