Following the Secretary of State for Transport’s announcement, High Speed Two Limited (HS2 Ltd) is proceeding to the implementation stage of this transformational infrastructure project which will initially link London and Birmingham. As such, we are now seeking a number of Property professionals to join the implementation team.

As part of the Property Acquisitions Team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the land acquisition programme for the HS2 project, from inception to completion.

The successful candidates will be property professionals, who are likely to be qualified Chartered Surveyors. You will have a proven track record of delivering large-scale land acquisition for major public sector infrastructure or regeneration projects.

Knowledge of all types of property is essential as is the ability to negotiate effectively with parties whose homes or business are subject to compulsory purchase and relocation. You are likely to have managed the compulsory purchase process from start to finish and have the ability and personal skills to negotiate compensation settlements as well as manage others to do so.

In addition to your programme and project management skills, proven budget and people management experience will be key, as will your excellent communication skills.

An appreciation of the role and structure of Government and development of public policy may be helpful.
