A bit about the role...
Working as part of a team with Rina Begum, our Head of Equity, Joint Ventures and Partnerships, the Senior Equity Portfolio Manager will play a critical role in managing a portfolio of equity, joint venture and lending alliances.
You will be joining our small but talented and experienced team who are committed to making positive change in how we manage our complex and sometimes high profile investments and lending alliances to accelerate the delivery of new housing within England. Within the team we value diversity and working collaboratively to foster good decision making and problem solving.
The Senior Equity Portfolio Manager will be responsible for ensuring the robust management of high-profile Equity transactions and Lending Alliance deals to enable the delivery of more homes. Within the role you'll have the opportunity to use innovative funding structures and works collaboratively with a diverse set of Investment Partners to unlocking further investment into the sector.
A core part of the Senior Equity Portfolio Manager role will be detailing commercial analytics and financial using a solid understanding of risk management to enable the achievement of investment objectives and enable recovery of our investments through successful exit strategy planning.
The Senior Equity Portfolio Manager role will give you exposure to some of the most senior stakeholders at Homes England and Government departments through the periodic committees and forums in which portfolio reporting is presented. There are some really exciting transactions to get involved with and this role is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to the Equity and Joint Ventures offering.

Working with key stakeholders and a professional real estate portfolio management team you will ensure excellent management of complex deals, supported by the efficient, consistent and effective resolution of any issues that need to be addressed in order to help create a more balanced, diversified and robust residential sector.
A bit about you…
As an experienced professional, ideally from the banking, accountancy, or corporate finance sectors, you'll be confident supporting in the resolution of complex commercial issues and liquidity management. You'll be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of financing solutions and development / construction risks.
You will have strong report writing skills and be confident in navigating complex legal agreements (including but not limited to shareholder agreements). You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have solid understanding of Financial Models and key investor metrics such as ROI, IRR, NPV and Income Yields. You will have excellent both verbal and written communications skills and be able to demonstrate experience of operating or presenting in senior forums.
Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders on a timely basis, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate the services we provide.
You'll have a solid understanding of Shareholder / Partnership agreements and how to provide effective stewardship and management of key relationships with Investment Partners.

You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level, with the ability to negotiate and persuade by always sharping your conversations through a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as an Equity and Partnerships Portfolio Management team. You will understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate that you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
