Planning Officer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to become part of a fast growing Development Control Team based in Bedfordshire.

This is a great opportunity for you to cement yourself into a role that can offer you great progression and exposure to work on interesting major and strategic applications in the future.

In this role, you will be required to work on a range of minor to medium applications comprising of residential, household, mixed and change of use.

Other duties include:

  • Provision of paid pre-application advice to developers, architects and external consultants.
  • Coordinate and attend site visits
  • Prepare detailed committee reports
  • Coordinate appeals
  • Advise planning enforcement teams about retrospective planning approval and variation to conditions.

This contract has great longevity and the authority is very open to flexible working from home (2 days per week).

Successful candidates will have a degree in Town & Country Planning or an affiliated subject with practical experience as a Development Control Officer in the UK.
