The HMRC Valuation Office is the UK public sector’s property valuation experts and advisers, and our vision is to be a world-leading provider of public sector valuations. The work we do is vital to the collection of over £60 billion of revenue which goes back into communities and affects every citizen and every business across England and Wales. We are now part of HMRC, having recently integrated from the Valuation Office Agency.
The role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to combine technical expertise with national influence. As National Technical Lead, you'll provide expert advice on complex valuation matters, lead technical discussions and help shape valuation practice across the profession.
Working alongside senior leaders and specialist surveyors, you'll tackle challenging cases, contribute to major revaluation programmes and play a key role in developing professional capability across the organisation. If you're looking for a role where your expertise can have a lasting impact, this is an opportunity to make your mark.
About you
You'll be a MRICS or FRICS qualified Chartered Surveyor with advanced valuation expertise and eligibility to join the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme. You'll have experience advising on complex valuation matters and a strong understanding of valuation legislation, case law, professional standards and codes of practice.
As a credible professional and trusted adviser, you'll be able to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, communicate complex information clearly and provide technical leadership on challenging valuation issues.
