An interesting property development opportunity has arisen to work in Bristol City Council on a 12 month fixed term maternity cover contract supporting the housing delivery team in promoting and delivering significant housing developments throughout the city. You’ll manage housing proposals on council owned land from outright disposal through to procuring developers using a number of delivery routes.
You will be able to appraise land for acquisition and disposal for development in either the public or private sector with a knowledge and understanding of the relationship between capital and revenue costs. You will be an experienced negotiator with a knowledge of effective written, oral and interpersonal skills.
You will report to the Property Development Manager and the Head of Housing Delivery.
It is an exciting role to meet the Council's ambition to deliver affordable and market housing in Bristol.
You will be a Chartered Surveyor (RICS) with a good level of post qualification expertise in housing and commercial property development.
A demonstrable track record of managing and delivering housing development projects in the public or private sector.
