This is an exciting time for L&Q as we continue to build capacity around our land-led approach to development, and expand our footprint nationally, including a major new partnership in the North West.

L&Q’s Development Committee is a crucial mechanism for supporting the Group Board; ensuring an effective process of project appraisal for new products and major development and regeneration ventures, which includes first stage consideration of merger and stock transfer opportunities. The Committee also acts as the main focus for development performance monitoring through reports from the Internal Development and Sales Board.

We are now looking for an outstanding individual with extensive experience in residential development and regeneration to join our Development Committee as an independent member. This is an opportunity to play a key role in shaping our development strategy and be part of an organisation creating some of the most exciting, diverse and dynamic regions in the country.

This person will provide insight and constructive challenge regarding on a broad range of issues; including new service delivery models, information flows on risk and control, and the agility of the organisation to respond to risks. The work of the Committee also aids the development and delivery of the Group’s overall corporate and business plans.

We would welcome expressions of interest from people with strong experience of scrutinising project appraisals for major development and regeneration projects and of working with development committees in large or complex delivery organisations in either the public or private sectors. The role is remunerated and requires around 1.5 days a month in term of the time commitment.
