Salary: £87,138 - £98,988

Location: The successful postholder can be based in any of the following locations: Coventry, Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds or Bristol.

A bit about the role...

Working within the Investments Directorate in the Infrastructure Grants team, headed by Sophie White, Director Infrastructure Grants, the role of Assistant Director Project Management will play a critical role in the delivery of projects funded by Homes England’s Infrastructure Grant funds. You will also play a key part in the highly experienced senior management team whilst supporting the management of a national team of 20 people who are committed to making positive change.

This is a rare chance to shape the future of the delivery of housing in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional team, you will set and ensure efficient, consistent and effective working methods and have the opportunity to help create and build upon both professional experience and relationships within Homes England and with external delivery partners.

The role will support the design and delivery of key strategic projects, setting the standards of delivering these complex projects to time, cost and quality. There are some exciting, ambitious projects to lead on and get involved with, and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to a range of areas relating to the funding of infrastructure projects.

A bit about you…

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You'll be comfortable supporting both senior management and a national team dealing with complex issues, aiming to bring efficient collaborative resolutions. You will be proficient in delivering high value infrastructure projects to a defined time, cost and quality criteria, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders whilst managing and developing national teams.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a key delivery team at Homes England. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

As an experienced real estate professional, you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
