The council’s housing stock is our most valuable asset and the largest liability in investment terms. An effective and agile approach to managing housing assets is critical to ensuring the long-term sustainability of the portfolio and to provide good quality homes that our tenants deserve. Central to our future success will be the transformation of the council’s building safety and housing property services.

In this brand new role, you will have strategic oversight of our improvement programme and revolutionise the way we maintain and enhance our c.8,000 council houses and c.1,900 leasehold properties. As a member of our Strategic Leadership Team, you will lead an expert technical team and deliver a c.£160m planned maintenance and responsive repairs programme over the next five years to ensure our homes are safer, greener and are of a high standard. You will be responsible for ensuring that our homes meet all statutory and compliance requirements, including those set by the regulators for social housing and building safety.
