Short Summary of the role:
The Strategic Land team leads on the delivery of key large development sites across England. The Planning Manager will support the team to progress applications and discussions with partners, to ensure successful permissions for new housing and infrastructure. This is an exciting time to join the team as many of our projects are moving into the delivery stage and we need to ensure that the planning is strongly supported by our partners and incorporates high standards of design and place making.
What will the successful candidate be doing:
The successful Planning Manager will report to the Head of Strategic Land and also support colleagues to ensure timely delivery of key tasks including preparing planning applications, working with partners, preparing reports and briefings for the wider Agency. This is a high profile role and we expect the Planning Manager will have excellent values and behaviours to work with the public and stakeholders to ensure a strong relationship management, be collaborative and commercial as well as seeking creative solutions to complex problems.
What are we looking for:
The Planning Manager will be a qualified Chartered Planner (RTPI) and have a strong track record of delivery, successful planning solutions and approvals and be able to demonstrate how they have worked with diverse communities.
