Interim Quantity Surveyor - Mixed Use Development - Major Construction Project - London - Outside IR35

On behalf of our client, a central London consultancy in the private sector, Hays Property & Surveying are currently recruiting Freelance Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for managing one of our clients major developments in Central London Zone 2. My client is a modern employer with excellent work life balance, freedom to dictate your work pattern and a need for freelance assistance during a peak in workload.
Your new role
As the Quantity Surveyor, you will responsible for cost planning and site visits for the main multi-million pound project. You will liaise directly with contractors, take a lead on commercial tenders, bids and proposals. You will take charge of cost planning, budgeting & estimating, preparation of tender documents & reporting on tenders, assembly of contract documentation and finally cost reporting and monitoring, all for the purpose of lending.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will have a minimum 10 years' experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management - ideally for a consultancy. You will have a BSc or MSc in a related field, however RICS designation is not a requirement for this position, but will be considered an asset. You will have good experience across varied asset classes including commercial, residential, retail and medical. Finally, you will have strong knowledge of current forms of contract
