Client Side Building Surveyor
Your new company
My client is a long established firm working in areas throughout London that are immersed in cultural, educational, artistic and social history. They are dedicated in preserving the character of historical buildings whilst adapting them for modern day usage. Your future team will be fairly small, giving you the ability to advance within the company whilst also making your own mark.
Your new role
You will ensure, through a variety of building surveying services and inspections, the smooth running of high profile developments both within commercial and residential properties. You will assist commercial and residential teams in the preparation of annual capital and revenue budgets alongside preparing preliminary cost plans. An essential aspect of this client side job will be negotiating project proposals with external consultants as well as engaging with contractors, tenants, residence alongside other departments to deal with general correspondence.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have qualification in Building Technology HNC, OND Level or a qualification of an equivalent trade or qualification. This job requires experience of working with listed buildings, JCT Contracts, building defect diagnosis, condition surveys and CDM. The ideal candidate will be MRICS chartered and you should have great commercial awareness with the initiative, a personal drive and communication skills to ensure the best service of customer care.
