Freelance Building Surveyor - Homebuyer Reports & Red Book Vals
Freelance Building Surveying - pick up as much or as little work as fits your lifestyle
Your new company
Hays Property & Surveying have partnered with our long term client in the search for a new member of their Building Surveying team. The Freelance Building Surveyor is a new addition to their current service offering as they are expanding and looking to keep growing throughout the year. They currently service regional banks and private clients / lenders and have an excellent track record, based on their level of service and repeat business. My client does not take on work from the Panel Management route and this results in 100% of the fee being paid to them upon completion.
Your new role
As the new Freelance Building Surveyor, you will be given work in a pre-defined area and complete 1 to 2 building surveys on a given day, as well as home-buyer reports or valuations on commercial and or residential. You dictate the reports from home to the head office, where they are transcribed and typed for you, before being returned to the Surveyor for approval and to attach photographs. You will undertake no typing or administration of any kind, leaving you free to complete however many surveys you want to in a working week.
What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate in this competition, you will have 10+ years of experience in building surveying and or valuation. You will have a current RICS as a Chartered Surveyor and / or Registered Valuer. Finally, you will be looking for a role that suits your lifestyle and willing to commit to freelancing.
What you'll get in return
In return for your hard work, you will be offered a role with ultimate flexibility. Not only would you dictate your working schedule and workload, but you would avoid any administration, paperwork or bureaucracy that can be associated with working for larger firms. My client offers a selection of salary and benefit packages designed to suit the individual on a case by case basis.
