Principal Property Manager – South East

Competitive Salary + car allowance, including a 10% Discretionary Bonus, Matched pension contributions to 6%, Life assurance and 27 days holiday.

This is an opportunity for a chartered surveyor with a proven track record managing a team of surveyors and a complex property portfolio. This opportunity sits within a growing property team at NHS Property Services.

NHS Property Services was established in 2013 and is responsible for the Asset Management, Property Management & Facilities Management of a large property portfolio supporting healthcare.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the effective management of a property team currently made up of 6 senior surveyors managing a complex commercial portfolio. You will be tasked with improving the efficiency of day to day property management, including managing relationships with our customers, major leasing events and tenant relationships with a common goal to improve the efficiency of the portfolio. There is currently a backlog of unregulated leases, rent reviews and lease renewals to be completed while assisting with implementing new asset strategies.

What you’ll need to succeed

Ideally you will be a Chartered Surveyor with a strong agency or property management background. You will have the ability to understand the bigger picture for the NHS which will drive your behaviours.

It is desirable that you will have a mix of public & private sector experience managing complex multi tenanted portfolios, but that is not essential. You will have a core understanding of formulating estate strategies and the ability to show best practice when dealing with acquisitions, disposals and all asset management services. This role will require a strong team leader who can drive and motivate their team while keeping a tight control on budgeting, service charges and risk management.
