Development Valuation Surveyor - Interim 3 month rolling contract - Central London Consultancy

Your new company
On behalf of our client, a leading consultancy, Hays Property & Surveying are currently recruiting for a Development Valuation Surveyor to take on a rolling 3 month contract with an immediate start. This role will specialise in Valuation Consultancy within the Professional Services team at my clients Central London office.

Your new role
As the Development Valuation Surveyor, you will be the main point of contact assisting on all instructions and reporting those back to the head of department. You will carry out inspections of assets with possible need for check measurements. You will make note of locational and descriptive features of the properties and their surroundings. You will be responsible for summarizing and review of lease and document titles and then assessing the value implications of these on your assets. As the main point of contact, you will undertake enquiries with Local Authorities into planning matters and how these may affect your remit, as well as gathering and evaluating evidence of comparable rental and capital transactions and following through with analysis. Through all of this, you will apply your knowledge of RICS Red Book and your solid understanding of valuation standards.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate in this competition, you will have 5+ years' experience using Argus and Excel to prepare commercial and residential valuations. You will have good experience undertaking the drafting of valuation reports and advisory notes, as well as strong communication skills to either internal or external clients through reporting. Finally, you will be a subject matter expert in the principles of relevant legislature and case law as it relates to tenant and landlord and planning matters.
