Assistant Director - Client Side Prestigious Institution - Central London

My client is a leading institution that aims to appoint 2 Assistant Directors to engage with all property related capital investment matters. The Assistant Directors will be responsible for leading and delivering a wide variety of refurbishment, conservation and construction related projects.
Your new role
The role will involve managing an in house team of project managers from a variety of professional backgrounds who are responsible for delivering a diverse and exciting range of projects / programmes ranging between £5m and £100m in value.
The successful candidate will develop in-house teams of up to 7 project managers from a multi-disciplinary technical background and responsible for the leadership of major capital projects across the estate.
Consult and build relationships with the heads of a variety of in-house departments and Clerks of domestic committees to translate new requests into practical, value-for-money projects.
Work with other Assistant Directors to keep an up-to-date and live database of cross cutting project lessons learned, typical project risks and post project evaluations.
Staff management and development.
What you'll need to succeed
Relevant professional membership of a construction or property related body such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Royal Institute of British Architects, (RIBA), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Running team of projects professionals, who in turn are responsible for appointing and overseeing external consultants and contractors to ensure complex projects are delivered on time, to budget and agreed quality standards.
