What is a commercial surveyor?

A commercial surveyor advises clients on buying, selling and leasing business premises. He or she will act as a negotiator between landlords and tenants which means they maybe called upon to resolve disputes.


The commercial surveyor needs to manage a range of corporate property portfolios and be able to value land and buildings that could be used for commercial property.


Becoming a commercial surveyor

There are many routes to becoming a commercial surveyor but usually he or she will have worked on various projects of different sizes and values and have management experience of some level. They may come from quantity surveying or estimating backgrounds.
