Roofer
Roofer – Anchor Repairs & Property Services
Location: Anchor Repairs & Property Services North East
Department: Anchor Repairs & Property Services
Reports to: Site Manager
Are you a skilled roofer who loves fixing things and making a difference? We’re looking for a Roofer to join our team at Anchor Repairs & Property Services (ARPS), working on sheltered, retirement, and care homes for the over-55s. If you’re all about quality work, safety, and keeping our residents dry and happy, this is the job for you!
What’s the Role About?
As a Roofer, you’ll be the expert keeping our roofing systems in top shape. From repairs to installations, you’ll tackle everything from leaky tiles to flat roofs, ensuring every job meets high standards and keeps our residents comfortable. You’ll work closely with the Site Manager, delivering great service while staying safe and on schedule.
What You’ll Do:
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs—think tiles, slate, felt, flashings, and more—following specs and best practices.
- Inspect roofs to spot issues like leaks or damaged materials, figuring out the best fix.
- Replace or repair tiles, felt, and other roofing bits using the right tools and techniques.
- Jump into emergency repairs when needed, getting things sorted fast.
- Chat with residents, teammates, and your Site Manager about job plans and progress.
- Keep solid records of your work, materials, and time—paperwork’s part of the gig!
- Stay safe by using protective gear and following health and safety rules every day.
Who We’re Looking For:
- You’re a hands-on roofer with a sharp eye and a knack for getting the job done. We’d love to see:
- Proven experience in roofing repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- An NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds in Roofing (or equivalent).
- A valid CSCS card and a full UK driving license.
- Knowledge of roofing materials (slate, tiles, flat roofs) and basic health and safety regs.
- Bonus points for extra roofing certifications!
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Why Join Us?
This is your chance to make a real impact—keeping our residents’ homes safe and secure. You’ll:
- Work with a friendly, supportive crew that values your skills.
- Tackle varied jobs that keep things interesting, from quick fixes to big repairs.
- Be part of a team that puts safety, quality, and customer care first.
Why It Matters:
You’ll be key to delivering roofing services our residents can count on. Your work keeps properties functional, boosts customer satisfaction, and helps Anchor shine as a trusted name. Expect some challenges—like troubleshooting tricky leaks or damaged roofs—but you’ll have the support to escalate bigger jobs when needed.
