Associate Town Planner
Do you want to be one of the most Senior members of staff in a small office and be given the responsibility of coordinating all employees on complex applications as the second in command to the Director?
An independent Planning consultancy is looking to appoint a talented Associate or Senior Associate Town Planner to their team in Manchester as the Director needs to liberate time to continue the growth of the business and the business development aspect within the region. With a number of instructions and repeat business continuing coming through the door, the Director can no longer be the sole fee earner and project manager when it comes to the daily running of the office.
As an Associate Town Planner, you will be running projects with the help of Graduates and Chartered Planners, you will be coordinating the planning process and submitting large-scale applications. Delegation and man management is an important part of the role and you will have experience in both, having worked closely, mentored and managed junior employees in the past.
Your work will cover several sectors including leisure, retail, commercial and residential however the Director is always exploring new avenues and there are often some interesting and niche projects that come through the door to keep you busy and interested. If you have a particular area of expertise and wish to pursue that, the infrastructure is in place to allow you to do so.
Ideally you will be MRTPI, have experience in working in the private sector within either planning consultancy or a developer and have a strong knowledge of the UK planning system.
The company are a medium sized consultancy based in Manchester, with other offices within the UK. They are privately owned and therefore encourage their staff to grow within the business, always pushing you to take on more responsibility. Interested?
