Project Surveyor (Chartered)
Your new role
In your new role you will be operating as one of two senior project surveyors in the company's Kingston office, report directly to the Operational Managing Director.
You will be responsible for carrying out pre and post contract duties on a number of projects with values ranging from £100,000 to £10m. The focus of these projects will be varied is likely to include residential, commercial/corporate, industrial, leisure, and educational properties, with projects involving internal refurbishments and fit-outs, external repairs/upgrades, extensions and new build.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful with your application, and within the role, you will need to be either a chartered PQS or Building Surveyor, with a history of working independently on a variety of projects.
You will need strong experience and knowledge of party wall matters and project management, as your role will require competence in these fields. The ability to create specifications for works as well as practical experience of contract administration and project monitoring will be essential for this role.
You will need a high level of written and verbal communication as you will be in regular communication with clients, contractors and other industry professionals. You will need to conduct yourself professionally as you will be expected to secure and attract new business to the practice in order to assist with the expansion of the Kingston client base.
Occasionally you will be required to supervise and oversee the running of the office and therefore team management skills are vital to your success at the office.
Advanced knowledge of CDM advisor duties is ideal but not a requirement for the position.
You will need a fully valid UK driver's license as you will need to travel to sites when necessary.
