Your new company
I am working with a firm of national independent property advisors based in London and the South East of England. They have circa 200 staff across eight offices. They are well-known in the market for their expertise in office, industrial, and retail property, supported by their specialists in Healthcare & Medical which this job is related to.

Your new role
My client are looking to plug the gap for an existing retirement plan, so a full one year handover will be available. Other duties for the role will include: Client Management -To ensure that clients (both existing clients and potential clients) are provided with a professional and knowledgeable service in connection with the work of the department. Fee and Cost Management - Responsible for ensuring that all fees and other costs are monitored and processed in a timely way so that income and profit targets are met. Professional and Personal Development - Responsible for identifying and addressing the relevant development requirements for the job; and ensuring that the appropriate skills and technical knowledge are evident. Compliance and administration - Comply with and maintain all the relevant professional and in-house procedures and standards, so ensuring good practice and consistency for the department and Company is achieved. Knowledge - To be aware of changes and developments in professional and ancillary areas and to take steps to expand knowledge of the same.

What you'll need to succeed
You should be an MRICS surveyor and relevant commercial experience to achieve the role responsibilities. You should be a Registered Valuer and have current knowledge of professional matters including Red Book and experience in providing valuations on Healthcare and Educational properties is desirable. Demonstrable knowledge of potential new markets appropriate to their region / town and ability to demonstrate knowledge of current legislation that affects the building, development, marketing and letting of commercial space will be required. Excellent negotiation skills and experience and success at writing and delivering pitches are additional requirements along with a sound IT fluency, and excellent letter and report writing, completed with accuracy.
