Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for an M&E Contracts Manager to manage a capital delivery stream and team responsible for all mechanical and engineering investment works. In this role, you will ensure all capital delivery programmes of work and quality inspections are commercially managed and delivering within agreed timescales to the correct quantity, quality and budget.
Responsibilities include being responsible for ensuring the regional delivery of the capital delivery programme for all M&E works, (for example but not limited too, lift replacement, upgrades and refurbishments, gate maintenance and refurb, EICR 5 year electrical testing, communal electrical testing, specialist projects such as PV, solar, ground source heat pumps, disabled adaptation mechanical installs such as through floor lifts, hoists, stairs lifts, security systems such as CCTV). To lead on all commercial contract management matters relating to contractors and programmes of works, chairing contract meeting and maximising opportunities for enhanced delivery. As well as a number of other responsibilities.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for someone with a high level experience of contributing towards formulation and implementation of investment programmes. You'll need to be educated to degree level in a Building Services related subject or relevant professional qualification. Have sound technical knowledge of Fire Safety, Asbestos, Building services including Gas, Mechanical & Electrical services. Posses a high level experience of commercial management in a competitive private or commercial property services sector. have experience of managing against business plans and budgets. Have a high level of experience in delivering and managing multi disciplinary and commercial contracted programmes. Essential experience of managing performance standards with the contracting market enabling delivery of the investment programme. Be able to manage, motivate and develop staff in an logical, controlled and timely manner. Have relevant professional qualifications (minimum HNC) in a building or project discipline or able to demonstrate extensive relevant commercial contract management experience and equivalent knowledge (For example RICS CABE PRINCE, Agile). Be able to show evidence of Continuing Professional Development and be willing and able to participate in the out of hours emergency roster.
