Your new company
For this job, a well-known organisation, promoting flexible working benefits and an outstanding work-life balance, seek an experienced Asbestos Surveyor to join their compliance team on a permanent basis. This organisation oversees a varied estate of large commercial buildings throughout the Perthshire region.

Your new role
You'll be responsible for managing the asbestos programme within the estate. This includes attending project design team meetings to advise colleagues on the requirement to obtain refurbishment and demolition surveys. You will develop an Asbestos Management Strategy and ensure it is maintained accordingly. You'll assist with the interpretation of survey reports and ensure that colleagues understand the implications and advise the most appropriate method for managing the asbestos remediation works to assist colleagues with the process. This role will include aspects of project management.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be an experienced Asbestos Surveyor and will hold a P405 qualification. You'll be able to demonstrate a proven track record managing Asbestos surveys and removals within the commercial building sector. Having a P407 and experience with managing Asbestos in Schools, Care Homes and other public sector corporate buildings is desirable but not essential. You'll be IT literate and have experience using, developing and managing computer database management systems. You will communicate effectively to people at all levels, be customer focused, professional in manner, able to work under pressure and provide sound advice to all relevant customers and stakeholders. You'll also be able to drive and have your own vehicle to complete site visits and supervise removals.
