As the successful property arm of one of the fastest growing fund management groups in the UK, our client is highly innovative and a clear market-leader in its field. Already one of the UK´s top five commercial property fund managers with over £8bn of Funds under Management, the business is both ambitious and exceptionally well placed in the current market, with over £650m of capital ready to invest and new funds actively being launched. As part of its continued evolution, an excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented and driven individual to join the Fund Management team.

The role involves managing a UK Balanced Property Fund with diverse exposure to top-quality freehold and leasehold property. It invests in all of the main property asset sectors including retail, retail warehouse, office and industrial/distribution properties, as well as indirect vehicles. This is a key appointment to the Fund Management team and, as such, you must satisfy all of the criteria set out below:

The Role
• Set and implement the Fund strategy in order to achieve performance targets and long term business aims
• Proactively identify suitable assets for purchase and sale in line with Fund Strategy and Investor flows
• Effectively identify and exploit added value opportunities in the portfolio, managing rent reviews and lease events through the asset management team
• Proactively market the Fund to Independent Financial Advisors and other Investor Groups, and oversee Fund reporting

The Profile
• MRICS qualified graduate with a strong academic background (IMC desirable) and a consistent track record of out-performance
• Proven property fund management experience with an in-depth knowledge of the UK investment market and extensive contacts
• Solid understanding of property fundamentals, including asset attribution and drivers, and property performance benchmarking
• Demonstrable experience of building and managing complex relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
