Michael Lamb Associates Ltd was founded in 1989. We provide a professional recruitment service to the property sector throughout the UK and Europe.

We utilize our dedicated and experienced team to meet client and candidate requirements. We take time and effort to fully understand the organisations and individuals we assist, with the aim of bringing the mutual objectives of both parties together.

There are two divisions within our company, Michael Lamb Associates Ltd and MLA Recruitment.

Michael Lamb Associates Ltd

Michael Lamb Associates Ltd is recognised as a market leader in the fields of Executive Search and Advertised Selection for individual retained assignments. Retained clients include property consultancies, development and investment companies, banks, institutions, funds and management consultancies. Assignments cover the spectrum of property disciplines, typically in the commercial sector.

MLA Recruitment

MLA Recruitment is our highly recognised division focussing on database appointments, on a non-retained basis. Database Search is particularly effective where prompt results are required.

HOW WE RECRUIT

Executive Search

We will often recommend Search as the most appropriate way to recruit for certain positions. For with senior positions suitable candidates are unlikely to respond to advertising or register with a consultancy. Also in a buoyant market response rates to advertisements for certain jobs irrespective of seniority may be low. We are particularly experienced in search and are recognised throughout the property sector for our expertise and success in this field. Search assignments must be handled tactfully, discretely and be treated in the utmost confidence. We have the contacts and research capability to identify key players in the market.

Advertised Selection

Upon advising a client that Selection is the most appropriate method for their vacancy, we will manage all aspects of the advertising and recruitment campaign. We will agree and define both job and candidate specifications. We advise on media selection and costs together with copywriting, designing and ensuring the advert is professionally presented. We handle all responses and ensure the client opportunity is positively promoted when interviewing and selecting the most appropriate candidates for short listing. We are highly skilled at leading the assignment to successful conclusion.

Database Search

Our database search service provides immediate access to our extensive database of registered candidates. All candidates are screened before entry on the database to clarify their background, experience and aspirations. This enables us to ensure we forward to clients only those candidates who we believe exactly meet their requirements. Candidate reports are only introduced to a client once we have the candidate’s permission and approval. Our aim is to match candidate aspirations with client objectives.

Our advice and assistance to candidates is completely free of charge. We are here to discuss career ambitions and options and to provide an accurate view of the recruitment market and opportunities for progression. CVs

Michael Lamb – Managing Director

Michael founded the firm in 1989. He previously worked with Price Waterhouse Coopers as a Management Consultant in their Real Estate Group. He then spent three years with a specialist Executive Search practice, setting up their Property Division before leaving to form Michael Lamb Associates. Michael has worked in all market sectors but has specialised from the outset in recruitment throughout Continental Europe.

Jeff Johnson – Director

Jeff has more than 20 years experience in the property market involved in both the publishing and recruitment sectors.

Jeff’s expertise covers all property disciplines, however during the past 5 years Jeff has developed a strong reputation for recruiting Residential Valuers and Surveyors and is regarded by many as the leader in this field.

Jonathan McGinn – Director

Jonathan has focussed over the last seven years in the commercial sector. He has recruited at all levels for leading firms and funds in the UK, and across all disciplines. Jonathan previously held a business generation and marketing role with a leading financial institution in the City before joining Michael Lamb Associates.

Meera Morjaria – Senior Administrator

Meera is an invaluable member of the team. She manages all database and office administration and has in-depth knowledge of IT matters. Meera is a Science graduate with an IT Diploma.

Ally Rouhan - Senior Consultant

Prior to joining MLA in 2005, Alison spent more than 8 years involved in residential property sales and marketing. She has a diploma in Human & Education Studies, specialising in Business & Psychology. Alison regularly recruits for clients in both the Residential Valuation Surveying and Commercial property sectors.
