What is an asset manager?
An asset manager manages programmes in order to deliver safe, reliable and cost effective services. He or she will oversee the maintenance services, personnel and outside contractors as well as maintain the asset register.
Becoming an asset manager
You would typically need a relevant qualification in facilities management or building/engineering services. An asset manager will also need to possess a good knowledge of prevention maintenance planning processes and systems.
